The largest chemical fibre factory in the Soviet Union in Daugavpils will be reconstructed into a modern industrial park

After the purchase of the former Daugavpils chemical fibre factory's buildings, "NP Properties" has started development of a new industrial park "NP Daugavpils Business Parks" with the total area of leased premises to be 194 thousand square metres. It is planned that in the first stage of the park's purchase and reconstruction, EUR 9.5 million investments will be made in the object.

For "NP Properties" this will be already the 5th Soviet times' factory, which is reconstructed from a physically and morally downgraded territory to a modern industrial park. But in the Company's established industrial parks' chain, this will be already the 9th industrial park.

"NP Properties" has established a chain of industrial parks, in which currently there are already nine industrial parks in different development stages in Riga, Jelgava, Daugavpils, Olaine, Rezekne, Salaspils and Ventspils. "NP Properties" is the largest industrial parks' developer not only in Latvia, but also in the Baltic States. This is evidenced by the total area of parks owned by the company, which is 198 ha, and the area of leased premises, which is 571 thousand square metres.

The new industrial park's project was presented by "NP Properties" during the recent international conference "Latvia - bridge between EU and CIS. Business perspectives in Latgale." whose participants acknowledged the park's perspectives, including such members as the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Latvia Mr. V.Kalyuzny, the Republic of Latvia Minister of Traffic Mr. A.Šlesers, Chairman of Daugavpils City Council Ms. R. Strode and others.

The industrial park "NP Daugavpils Business Parks" is located in the territory of the former Daugavpils chemical fibre factory. Its total territory is 18 ha, but the area of leased production, warehouse and office premises is 194 thousand square metres.
